I'm looking for a type of foam or glue that is waterproof, but also easily destructible once cured? any ideas?

How about a spray can of expandable foam. It can provide a waterproof cover and be broken down mechanically. On the negative side it is pricey and messy to use if your not filling cavities, you would also need to model it to your cover shape very quickly.
